5/25 Book Discussion

Hey everyone! We were so pleased with the turnout and discussion during lunch today!

Some talking points from our meeting today included
  • the importance of balance in our projects, such as individual contributions and responsibilities
  • emphasis on people and team formation
  • cultivating a safe environment for individuals and teams
For those of you who could not make our first meeting, please share with us your first impressions of reading fiction about project management.

Our next meeting is scheduled for 6/10 at noon. A question to ponder for our next meeting - Do you think it is effective and beneficial to provide team members with the ability to send anonymous messages to Project Managers?

Hope to see you then!

Welcome!

Thanks for participating in our first group. Leslie and I are looking forward to a lively discussion about this book.

Please feel free at anytime to post comments, suggestions, questions for the group.

We will solicit a vote to either keep this site public for all the world to read, or we'll go underground and write how we really feel. The current set-up is that your comments can be anonymous by simply not including anything that would identify you as the writer. While reading the book, you'll discover why anonymous comments can be a very powerful communication tool that saves time and money on projects! We ask that you do not post any personal or negative comments towards individuals, however we welcome critical thinking and exploring deeper discussions.

NOTE: Leslie and I have neither reviewed nor edited any of the comments featured on this site, and we do not necessarily endorse any views expressed within this site. This blog may be removed at our discretion.

Books are being passed out today-yayayay for some weekend reading (right after you do the yard work and grab a lemonade)!

Here's a suggested reading schedule with all sessions meeting from 12 to 1 in the Rear Conference Area at 811 Marietta Street:
May 25th Chapters 1-6
June 8th Chaters 7-12
June 22nd Chapters 13-18
July 6th Chapters 19-23

Thanks again!
